Inducted into Mt Tabor High School Hall of Fame, 2015


2-time Foot Locker Nationals qualifier (1988 and 1989) -- only 9 North Carolina boys have ever accomplished this feat in the meet's 46-year history (cross country nationals are the most difficult to qualify out of all national meets)


- Foot Locker Cross Country All-American, 1989


- National high school mile indoor champion, 1989


- NCHSAA Cross Country Player of the Year, 1990


5-time State Champion
- 1989 NCHSAA 4A Cross Country


- 1989 1,600 meters (4:13.46)


- 1990 NCHSAA All-Class indoor 2-Mile


- 1990 two-mile relay


- 1989 outdoor 3,200-meter relay (setting a state meet record of 7:51.70 that stood for 9 years)


- Helped Mount Tabor to 2 NCHSAA 4A Cross Country titles (1988, 1989)


- Graduated ranked No. 1 all-time in the indoor 1,600 meters (4:12.43, which is still No. 10 all-time).

- Ran for the U.S. at 1991 World Junior Cross Country Championships in Belgium
